Golf at St. Mellion...quite simply, as good as it gets
We do not require handicap certificates but both golf courses are at a championship standard, so every golfer needs to be at a competent level and understand the etiquette to the golf courses and other players around them.
The Nicklaus tee times are every 10 minutes while the Kernow course is every 9 minutes, every golfer is expected to turn up to the first tee 10 minutes prior to their tee time.
Both golf courses have their own pace of play guidance, which for the Nicklaus Course is 4 & 3/4 hours & for the Kernow Course 4-hours. There will be Course Marshalls patrolling both courses, to ensure a reasonable pace of play is maintained.
To ensure we are keeping with pace of play and catering for the business St Mellion holds the right to pair golfers together. St Mellion do hold a fourball policy.
St. Mellion staff have the final decision as to suitability of clothing and footwear
Buggies on the Nicklaus course must always keep to cart paths. Buggies on the Kernow course are allowed on the fairways but are weather dependant. We have recently added a brand-new fleet of 60 buggies that include a state-of-the-art GPS system. Buggies are only allowed to be operated by people over the age of 18 years old.
St. Mellion hold the rights to remove any golfer from the golf courses if they aren't abiding to the rules listed above or have an incompetent ability to get around the golf courses.
